Bread halwa is a variation of halwa made with bread slices. To make bread halwa, bread cubes are first fried or roasted in ghee and later cooked with milk and sugar. Basically, the preparation of bread halwa is similar to the way most halwa are made. The taste of bread halwa is like that of bread pudding. It's really yummy and awesome, by just looking at this picture you must be craving for this!! So without further ado I Present to you, How to make: Bread Halwa.

  • 200 grams sugar/ honey/ condensed milk
  •  1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  •  2 tablespoons of ghee
  •  Dry Fruits- as per taste
Instructions:
Take 10 pieces of any type of bread and trim its sides. Then after trimming it's sides, cut it in cubes. We have made a YouTube video on this recipe too, you can check it out below.  Then in a big pan, add 2 tablespoons of ghee and add the dry fruits of you choice, I am gonna add black kismis and almonds. Then mix it well, and after it's fried well, remove it from the pan and add it in a bowl. In the same ghee we used for frying our dry fruits, add the bread cubes in it and toast it well. Then add 1/2 liter of milk, 200 grams sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder and mix it well until it becomes very thick. Then add the dry fruits, mix well and our Bread Halwa is Ready!!
